Standards for Selection of ParentSmart Articles and Sites

Articles must:

1. Be parent-friendly, i.e., recognizing the time constraints of busy parents
2. Be of reasonable length
3. Have relatively clear and jargon-free language
4. Suggest and/or detail actions that can be taken by parents
5. Respond to questions parents ask most about their children's education
6. Be based upon sound research
7. Not be exploitative and misleading in context

Please note that articles that contain descriptions of experiences and actions taken by other parents and/or that support the right of parents to ask questions and to be involved in their children's education are of special value to us.
